The Long Way I Take With Books

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

Book possess an essence of immortality.
When i was a thir—teen—yes—old boy,I read the book called:”Three Days To See”.After reading this fa—mous one,I have been deeply moved by Helen is spirit. As we healthy persons,We can not imagine the world of the disabled who are blind, deaf or dumb. While in this book,I have the strong feeling that Helen is a tough—minded, clever and kind woman. She did not give up her her dream un—til she realized it.Ithink the story also tells us that people should be strong and never be week when we meet something that seems diffi—cut to face.Eever we lose everthing,do not lose our confidence and hope.
In spite that Helen was poor and unfortunate, she rarely complained. She under—stood the real meaning of life.So it is the honor to be able to feel the sunlight. No wast-ing any second in our life—I think we should not do any—ing valueless and should cherish everything we own this moment.
I have learned a lot from Helen and this book.No mat—ter how struggle the life is,we ought to be optimistic and believe that tomorrow will be better.

a memorable day

When I was a freshmanI began to chat with foreigners. But I was very shy. Gradually, I became more and more confident with foreigners’ help. The following year, I went to Nanjing with two foreigners. I became their guide. First, we came into the Shouxi River. They wanted to look around the river by boat. I told them the price. Then we got into the boat. When we looked out at the sight, we all felt very beautiful. After that, they went to buy souvenirs. The sellers couldn’t speak English. Though it was very hard, I tried my best to listen to their words carefully and translate the sentences. They bought some souvenirs with my help. Next, we went to a small zoo, and we took some photos. There were not many animals. When we felt hungry, we went out and had lunch. After lunch, we visited some old houses. They learned more about Chinese history.
This is a memorable day, that day has increased my confidence and exercise.

Be yourself

Trust your own inner voice.
A man should believe in himself. It is better to exercise the power within himself rather than to envy and imitate others when you are young, bold and independent you assert yourself. You listen to the voice whthin and expess yourself without bias and fear. But as you grow older you surrender your liberty to society. You want to be like others, act like others. However, if you want to be a man, you must be a non-comformist. Unfortunately; though, we let others have too much power over us. I do not need or want the approval of other man. What I believe I should do is what concerns me, not what other people think I should do. Of course, it is not easy to follow your inner voice, for there are always those who will try to make you comform to the public will. Comformity turns your life into a lie (because in living according to the will of others, you are not being true to yourself. To comform, to please others, you put on a false face) Consistency can also be a problem. If you strive to be consistant in all things, you live according to a pattern—a pattern you are afraid to break out because you are afraid that people will look down on you. What if what you said today is not consistant with what you said yesterday? People will misunderstand you. But is that so bad? Great men like… were ever misunderstood. I wish we could do away with consistency and conformity. Men who listen to themselves rather than to the common herd are true men. And it is true men who leave their mark on history. If all men because self-reliant, then all of their activities and institutions would be better.

The Wonderful Art Classes

Monday, October 19th, 2009

Have you always wondered what it would be like to be a great painter, or artist? Have you ever thought that you might want to become totally creative? Do you think you may be creatively gifted and even if you aren’t you would still like to try your hand at art ? Well congratulations, if this is your case. There are numerous art classes or online classes coming up for your reference.
The reason why art classes and workshops are such a popular activity here is there is no pressure or expectations from others as there is in other places. In most cases taking an art class wouldn’t be overwhelming, intimidating, and time consuming.
An introductory class aimed at exploring the basic elements of drawing and painting. There will be an emphasis on building confidence, developing observational and analytical skills, practical techniques, and material exploration. Moving from black and white to colour, students will explore colour theory, composition, painting techniques and materials. There will be 1 life drawing session within the term to introduce and explore figure drawing and to build on other skills. Classes are relaxed and informal yet aim to provide a basic knowledge to students who wish to pursue their work further, and possibly go on to join a mentored art group.
If you are interested in art, but don’t have the opportunity to take a traditional art class, an online art class might be just the ticket. Generally, with online classes, you can do the class work anytime that it is convenient for you. You find the same is true with online art classes. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to learn a new skill such as painting, from the convenience of your own home? This is also a great option for the busy career person. Perhaps you are looking for a way to wind down from the hectic pace of your professional life? An online art class might be just the thing.
Art classes are very interesting and productive because of the knowledge our professional artists are willing to impart. These artists can usually teach you lots of tricks of the trade that let you see immediate positive results in your work .
On the other hand, perhaps you have always wanted to study art, but are nervous about taking an art class around other people. You fear that everyone will have lots of talent, and you’re not sure about your own. While we are certain that you have talent to spare, an online art class could be a wonderful way to boost your confidence. You can hone your skills in the privacy of your own home before venturing onto another art class.
